Sweet Chilli Baked Camembert
Prep time: 20 mins | Serves: 4
Ingredients:
• 1 whole Camembert (250g)
• 60g sweet chilli sauce
• 10g runny honey
• 5g soy sauce
• 5g rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
• 2g freshly ground black pepper
• 10g spring onion, finely sliced
• 5g sesame seeds (optional)
Method:
1. Preheat your oven to 190°C.
2. Remove the Camembert from any plastic and place it back into its wooden box or a small ovenproof dish.
3. Using a sharp knife, score a shallow criss-cross on the top of the cheese.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chilli sauce, honey, soy sauce and vinegar until glossy.
5. Spoon the sweet chilli glaze over the Camembert, letting it sink into the cuts.
6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until the centre is molten and oozy.
7. Finish with cracked black pepper, spring onion and sesame seeds if using. Serve immediately with crusty bread for dunking.
Storage:
Best enjoyed straight from the oven while gloriously molten. If needed, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day and reheat gently in the oven.
